Cádiz in the summer

Part of the joy of taking our five-week CertTESOL course is that it gives you a three-day weekend to experience all the beauty of Cádiz. If you're here in the summer, the city comes even more to life, with gorgeously warm evenings to enjoy some tapas in one of the city's numerous squares.
Sunset over the city beach

There are also fantastic music events to go along to: from sunset concerts in the Santa Catalina castle or the No Sin Música festival which takes place in mid-August at the port. Although these are both ticketed events, there are lots of free activities going on as well, including the outdoor cinema at the entrance to the old town or, if you need to escape the sun, the city’s art galleries and museums have a variety of exhibitions on offer.

And although there are hot days, Cádiz is often more temperate than inland locations and, with the sea surrounding the city, it’s easy to escape to the beach for a quick dip.

I chose Active Language because of its location in a historic Spanish town and because of the length of the course.

Let’s face it, no look is really complete without the right finishes. Not to the best of standards, anyway (just tellin’ it like it is, babe). Upgrading your shoe game. Platforms, stilettos, wedges, mules, boots—stretch those legs next time you head out, then rock sliders, sneakers, and flats when it’s time to chill.
