The First Day

It’s that time of year again when we’re all getting ready to step back into the classroom. Here are some ideas to think about in preparation for your first day. Which of these do you think are essential activities for the first day?

  • Getting to know each other and the teacher
  • Basic rules and consequences of breaking them
  • A discipline system
  • First routines
  • Homework – frequency and responsibility
  • Introduce the coursebook
  • Identifying objectives for the term and year
  • Classroom layout and seating patterns: moving furniture – whose job? same seats/ different seats?
  • How and when L1 will be used in the classroom
  • Taking the register routine?
  • Responsibilities routines – who’s the monitor today?
  • Rewards (stickers, stars, etc)
  • Classroom questions and language

2019 collection

Let’s face it, no look is really complete without the right finishes. Not to the best of standards, anyway (just tellin’ it like it is, babe). Upgrading your shoe game. Platforms, stilettos, wedges, mules, boots—stretch those legs next time you head out, then rock sliders, sneakers, and flats when it’s time to chill.
