…my CertTESOL gave to me…
Well, actually 7km of beautiful beaches to tell the truth! The beach in the new town stretches from the city wall for
over seven kilometres to the army base at Torregorda, with the Atlantic Ocean crashing to the shore. It’s perfect for water sport enthusiasts and there are lots of surf schools along the beachfront if you’re interested in learning or hiring equipment. It’s one of the main reasons Mike chose Cádiz for his Trinity CertTESOL Course – read his story here.
Closer to the school, we also have La Caleta, which you may even recognise as it was used for scenes in Die Another Day. This is a great beach for an easy swim – it’s well protected by the city walls, so tends to have less waves than the long stretch of beach.
The beaches are wonderful to watch the sunset as well and there are plenty of bars along the seafront to enjoy the burning reds, oranges and pinks of the setting sun.
Many people stay in Cádiz because of the beauty of the city and the quality of light which you can enjoy here, not to mention the qaulity of life!
