What is Language Awareness?
Our Language Awareness course aims to give you a feeling of confidence before starting your Trinity Certificate in TESOL, so that when you start teaching, you’ll be better equipped to deal with students’ questions and support them in their learning.
The course has been designed to give you a basic, but thorough, introduction to different aspects of English grammar and provides plenty of further resources for those who feel they would like even more preparation before stepping into the classroom. It also introduces you to the International Phonemic Alphabet (IPA), which is widely used in dictionaries and coursebooks throughout the profession. Furthermore, the course guides you through some of the more common features of English speech.
Our Language Awareness course gives you a solid introduction to English grammar and phonology to help you feel more confident stepping into the classroom. It’s FREE for our Trinity CertTESOL trainees, but can also be taken as a stand-alone course.
