This course combines the best of both virtual and physical worlds to give teaching knowledge, experience and confidence to move on with a career as an English teacher. It recognises and reflects the reality of how many teachers work mixing both online and in-class teaching.
The first 3 weeks ONLINE
In the first 3 weeks online, we work to gain teaching knowledge through a combination of live classes and independent work on the modules as well as live group workshops, seminars and 1:1 tutorials.
The Teaching Practice, the heart of the course, also begins having already gained knowledge of how best to teach languages online. In Teaching Practice, the teaching is with adult students in small, online classes and with precise support and guidance from our dedicated tutoring team.
The second 3 weeks
In the second half of the course, Teaching Practice shifts to the in-person or “physical” classroom to complete your teaching hours. The tutors continue to support the move to independent planning and teaching in a supportive learning environment. The modules continue online in the same way.
