One Stop English - Free materials to download plus lesson ideas, games and competitions and professional support.

ESL Base - TEFL jobs worldwide. Information, advice and resources for teachers.

Trinity College London - Trinity have been testing English language students for more than 50 years, offering certificates that are accepted by universities and employers worldwide.

Dave´s ESL Cafe - For ESL/EFL students and teachers from around the world. Includes resources for bilingual educators.

ESL Party Land - ESL students and teachers can find loads to do here! There are quizzes and on-line exercises, lesson plans, e-mail exchanges, 25 discussion forums, a job center, ESL links, a bookstore, and more!

TEFL.net - TEFL Course Database, ESL Jobs Centre, TEFL Help Desk, ESL lesson plans and other teaching resources to teach English as a foreign or second language.

Chris Roland.net - Website packed with ideas, materials and resources for teaching. Lots of great stuff for young learners. Chris is one of our teachers here at Active Language.

It's Magazines - Formerly a magazine, now digital. Full of downloadable resources, interviews and articles, plus theme-based activities and a community site for students.

EL Gazette - Free downloadable resources and lesson plans, information on ELT events, a course search engine and advertising and job info.

ITESLJ - Free online journal featuring articles and research papers, but also lesson plans, resources and games.

TEFL Organisations

IATEFL - International association based in the UK. Has a large conference annually and also smaller events mostly organised by their SIGs (Special Interest Groups), onine and face to face.

TESOL Spain - The Spanish association of English language teachers. They organise a weekend conference annually in Spain as well as other smaller events.

TEFL del Sur - Locally based organisation which organises teacher development events three times a year within the Cadiz area.

ACEIA - Association of language schools in Andalucia. Organises an annual conference for teachers with a range of interesting and motivating talks and workshops.

FECEI - Spanish federation of language schools. The organisation is holding its first teacher development day in Madrid on 17th February 2012.

Spainwise - Cordoba-based organisation with a helpful website offering information on living and working in Spain. They hold an annual recruitment fair in May in Cordoba.
